Bishop Michael Portier

We are partnering with the Archdiocese of Mobile to create a new feature documentary film on Bishop Michael Portier in conjunction with the Bicentennial of Alabama. Bishop Portier is the first Bishop of the now Archdiocese, which originally included all of Alabama east to St. Augustine Florida. He established Springhill College, Visitation Monastery and school, Providence Hospital and built the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. His impact is still felt throughout the south today. We are currently in production and seeking finishing funds.
